If you have made it this far on my website, you likely want to know a bit more about who I am and what it is like to work with me.  If we were meeting in person right now, I would say to you, “Please have a seat, make yourself comfortable,” and offer you a cup of tea, coffee, or water.

I am often known for my smile, ability to help people feel accepted and genuinely cared for, and for my positive—yet realistic—outlook on life. I believe each person is truly beautiful, valuable, and capable of more than they may ever imagine – and this belief includes you. I have a love for helping people through life’s challenges and difficulties. It is often through those times that people emerge with new strengths, passions, direction, and sense of accomplishment.

I graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2004 with a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling and have worked in various clinical settings with people of all ages. I love being a counselor! Yes, it is important to work with a counselor who enjoys what they do!

I have lived in several places throughout the United States, but have always loved Maine the most, even with all the snow in February (that I try hard not to complain about). I have lived and/or worked throughout much of Maine, so I understand the various “personalities” in the different regions of our beautiful state.

I love spending time with family and friends, being involved in the church my husband and I attend, traveling, and making it a point to find humor in something every day.
